Stay positive, work hard and make it happen.
An auditor at Deloitte Cyprus for five years before joining First Names Group, Nicholas started his career on the other side of the fence. There he was responsible for checking the minutiae of accounting records for various clients. He also qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and then became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). After a promotion to Assistant Manager, Nicholas led audit teams and provided audit services to banks, investment funds and international clients.
IN THREE WORDS:
Nicholas thrives on interaction with his colleagues. He admires Petros Petrides and his “unparalleled ability to juggle tasks” and “remarkable memory for client details”. He also enjoys working alongside legal manager Andri Ioannou with her “energetic, organised and proactive approach”.
It was not accounting but the military that was Nicholas’ childhood ambition. He wanted to be an officer, like his grandfather before him, and stories about war fascinated him when he was growing up. His family has been his biggest influence personally and professionally over the years. These days, he’s happy he chose the corporate career world. But, he’s also set on becoming a black belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu and opening a small winery in his village.
