Gerda Kofler is a Senior Trust Officer for First Names Group in Switzerland. With over 18 years’ experience in the trust business, she is an expert in developing trustworthy relationships.
Born in Italy and raised in Austria, Gerda wanted to discover more about the world, so having completed her schooling she moved to Switzerland. Needless to say, she loves the international community in Zürich and has a real passion for its people. Her confident manner and positive outlook have helped her make great connections in the British Virgin Islands and Panama since joining the Group in 2006.
Action is better than reaction.
For Gerda, every day is a commitment to action. Having spent 12 years sharpening her people skills in the hotel industry, her drive to develop her expertise continues. She enrolled for STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) courses and has passed the Foundation Certificate, Company Law and Practice and Trust Creation: Law and Practice. Gerda is currently studying towards International Trust.
IN THREE WORDS:
Gerda is a perfect advocate for independent thinking and hard work within the team environment. She would love to mention every person in her department by name, as she believes that they all play a significant role in the success of the Group. It’s the people who make the business – and Gerda has huge respect for them, especially Silvia Mathis and Leandro Basile. They are both proactive and work well together.
FIRST TRIP ALONE: AGED NINE AT A SUMMER CAMP FOR THREE WEEKS
Gerda thrives on creative challenges and is always seeking adventures with a difference. She has sailed from Bergen in Norway to Kiel in Germany on a traditional wooden sailing boat. To celebrate the success of the trip she scaled the 50-metre mast in strong winds. As much as Gerda loves a good party, she also appreciates the wonder of silence and natural beauty – a prime example of which was a picture perfect sunset in the Petra Valley, Jordan.
