Over the past couple of months we've begun asking members of our Management Committee 20 all-important questions to help you get to know each person a little better. First up was CEO Mark Pesco, followed by CRO David Wild. This month we've grabbed some time with our Chief Financial Officer, Eric Fady, and presented him with the same questions.
Tea or coffee? Earl Grey for breakfast then a couple of double espressos throughout the day.
Favourite TV programme? It was Top Gear and now I am thoroughly enjoying The Grand Tour.
Fondest childhood memory? Long summer holidays with my family in my grandmother’s cottage in the Beaujolais in France.
Favourite holiday destination? Paris remains at the top of my list, although I was not born there.
Most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you? I fell asleep during a lecture on French law in a very small classroom.
Last meal on death row? Cheese with a glass of red wine.
Cats or dogs? Cats – they do what they want.
First job? Grape harvesting in the Beaujolais.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? Archaeologist.
Your best qualities? Hard-worker, fair, reliable.
Any bad habits? I suppose I could listen more…
Who do you admire? Stephen Hawking.
What drives you nuts? Lack of professionalism.
Best bit of business advice you’ve received? Preparation is 95% of success.
Dream job? Wine producer, but there are too many great producers and this could prove rapidly not be good for my health!
Worst job you’ve ever had? Sorting and archiving tax-related documents for the French tax authorities for a month.
Buzzword you hate the most? “To be 100% honest”.
Sports fan? Not really, but England vs. France at Twickenham is always a great event.
City or country? City but preferably with a garden.
Any hobbies? I have a collection of paintings, a couple of old cars and enjoy cooking for friends and family.
