First Names Group has continued its support of local charity Housing Matters this Christmas by providing a wide range of gifts for the children of homeless and needy families in the Isle of Man.
In September, after selecting Housing Matters as their ‘charity of the month’, the Group’s Isle of Man office donated £350 to the cause, as well as providing generous contributions of food, toiletries and kitchen supplies to help homeless people and families on the island.
This month, Isle of Man’s ‘First Names’ have been busy collecting gifts of all shapes and sizes, enabling families who cannot afford to give their children a meal and presents on Christmas Day to do so. The array of gifts includes toys for the kids, make-up and nail sets for the teenagers, Christmas crackers, biscuits and selection boxes.
Housing Matters was established in 2007 to provide advice, guidance and support to people in housing crises. The charity is closely aligned to First Names Group’s philosophy that people matter. Craig Brown, Managing Director of First Names (Isle of Man) Limited, commented:
“Housing Matters provides help to people on the island that need it the most. At First Names Group we are committed to our people, clients and the communities in which we operate, so we were delighted to be able to continue supporting such a worthwhile cause. We really hope our contributions help make this Christmas a special one for the children and families supported by the charity.”
