We are pleased to announce our success in the second annual Citywealth Brand Management & Reputation Awards. During an entertaining awards reception in London on 15 June, First Names Group was revealed as having won bronze in the Best Social Media Marketing Campaign category and gold for CSR Activity of the Year.
The title of CSR Activity of the Year was awarded to our 2016 Christmas charity video, Carpool Karaoke, and we’re proud to say that this is the second year in a row our Christmas video has received the accolade. The annual initiative has become a bit of a tradition for us, with Carpool Karaoke being the third time our directors have stepped up, dressed up and done whatever it takes to raise some smiles and much-needed funds for charitable causes.
‘First Names Group presents Carpool Karaoke!’ was watched by 11,400 unique viewers on Facebook alone, and raised nearly £4,000 for Worldwide Cancer Research. If you haven’t seen it yet (or if you’d like to watch it again!), hit ‘play’ below.
We achieved our Best Social Media Marketing Campaign bronze award for the trial social media recruitment campaign we ran throughout the latter half of 2016. The campaign focused around our new Facebook page, which offers job vacancies through career stories and testimonials, to fun updates highlighting our sports, social and charity activities and providing an insight into life as a ‘First Name’.
During the six-month campaign, our Facebook page attracted over 4,000 page likes and saw ‘Vacancies’ become the most visited page on our website. Importantly, the campaign also delivered tangible return on investment (ROI) as we took on our first ever Facebook-sourced recruit just two months after the initiative began. Upon receiving the awards, Alison Duffy, our Group Head of Marketing, PR and Communications, commented:
“Needless to say we are very happy with this result! Usually we win awards on behalf of our service lines, so it’s fantastic to receive direct recognition for our marketing efforts. Our 2015 Christmas video took the ‘CSR Activity of the Year’ crown last year, so we’re thrilled to be keeping hold of it – and get a social media accolade under our belts this time too. We’ve already got our thinking caps on for this year’s Christmas charity video… No pressure!”
